Our goal as a business is to be the nation's pet industry leader in quality products and service. Our aim is to have everything that The Bahamian public needs for their pet or garden, at prices to fit any and every budget. We carry a full line of products for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, turtles and fish. We also carry garden supplies, such as live indoor and outdoor plants and trees, soil, mulch, seeds, pots, fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, pesticides and more. As Bahamians, we serve you the people, and are constantly striving to improve our business to serve you better.
Our Story
Modernistic Garden and Pet Supply was established in 1961 by Mr. Benjamin Roberts. In 2003, the business was bought by Mr. James Thompson and his family. It has continued to grow over the years with new locations in The John’s Plaza on Carmichael Road and The Mall at Marathon on Marathon Road. Most recently in 2019, the flagship store relocated to a newly renovated 5,000 square foot storefront with attached 15,000 square foot warehouse and offices adjacent to The Palmdale Shopping Plaza on Madeira Street. The Company is currently managed by Mr. Thompson's youngest son, Anthony Thompson and his wife, Patou Thompson.
