Timothy/Alfalfa Hay Double-Compressed Bale
A mix of timothy grass hay and alfalfa, double-compressed into a compact, easy-to-handle bale. Timothy gives the long-stem fibre horses need, while alfalfa adds extra protein, calcium and energy – a good choice for working, growing and older horses, or to add richness to a straight-grass ration.
• Timothy and alfalfa together in one bale
• Extra protein and calcium from the alfalfa
• Double-compressed – takes up less room in the feed shed
• Approx. 45 lb bale
Richer than straight timothy, so introduce gradually over 7-10 days and offer fresh water at all times. Store off the ground in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. For rabbits and guinea pigs, use straight timothy as the main hay.
